Dr. Eunil David Cho is Visiting Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology and Care and Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Cho recently received his Ph.D. from Emory University’s Graduate Division of Religion. As a pastoral theologian, he seeks to link pastoral theology with narrative theories, psychology of religion, and social scientific study of religion. His current research focuses on how narrative can be used in understanding interpersonal identity formation and collective experiences of trauma and loss, especially in intercultural settings. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Pastoral Theology, Pastoral Psychology, Practical Matters, and Encyclopedia of Psychology (Springer).
Prior to joining Brite, Dr. Cho was the Director of the Writing Center at Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where he worked as a writing instructor and served as an academic consultant. Trained as a middle school teacher and a youth counselor, Dr. Cho has used his expertise and passion to serve churches as a youth minister for several years. He is ordained Presbyterian Church (USA).
