AHyun’s pastoral ministerial and professional journey as a practical theologian has been extended and enriched by her scholarly, clinical, and ministerial experiences. AHyun is an Elder in the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin. She has served in a variety of locations and positions including a small rural church, a large church in the city, a ministerial center at the seminary, cross-cultural and cross-racial ministry, etc. She has offered several workshops about cross-cultural ministry training at the Wisconsin UM Conference and has written articles on intercultural pastoral counseling. AHyun is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois and has completed numerous professional certifications. She served a pastoral psychotherapist and faculty in the center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago for several years. Also, she is a board member of PANAAWTM (Pacific, Asian, North American Asian Women in Theology and Ministry) and a mentor of Garrett-Evangelical Vocation Network, mentoring and supporting the next generations of various ministerial and pastoral forms.
