In association with Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, Kansas, MARLENE serves as the director of the FOUNDATIONS Judson Communities program in the U.S. This program provides training for pastors and leaders of churches serving resettled communities of people who have immigrated to the U.S. from Myanmar. Through this course of study, pastors and church leaders from Karen, Chin, Kachin, Karenni, and other ethnic groups can earn a Certificate of Ministry Studies to help them better serve the unique needs of their churches. As director, Marlene organizes meetings in various locations in the U.S. as well as teaches classes on Christian education.
